The Office of Healthy Housing works with other state agencies, healthy housing partners, and property owners to assure homes are safe for occupants. We provide funding through Rhode Island Housing to make homes lead safe for units with children under the age of six. While much of our work focus on Lead Based Paint Hazard Reduction, we also work closely with other stakeholders to address the broader healthy housing issues such as mold, asthma prevention, accessibility and overall environment within the homes.
